Congratulations to Our 2025 BSLA First in the Family Humanist Forward Freethought Scholarship Awardees!
Named after Black queer playwright, activist and freethinker Lorraine Hansberry, the Women’s Leadership Project and BSLA’s Lorraine Hansberry Humanist Scholarship Award recognizes the exemplary leadership and service of WLP students in gender and social justice advocacy. Students will receive up to $1000 to further their educational and career goals. Two of this year’s awardees started with WLP when they were in the 9th grade. WLP thanks our community supporters, the Harrington Family Fund and the Freedom From Religion Foundation for their multi-year support of this initiative!
