Congratulations to Our 2025 BSLA First in the Family Humanist Forward Freethought Scholarship Awardees!

On Saturday, April 19th, the #Standing4BlackGirls coalition will gather for a Missing and Murdered march and rally in the Crenshaw District. Nationwide, Black girls and women across sexuality are also experiencing escalating rates of gender-based violence and femicide. Black women between the ages of 25-44 are six times more likely to be murdered than white women, while constituting over 30% of those go missing in the U.S. Despite these facts, Black girl survivors and victims across sexuality rarely receive sustained media attention or community support. The one-mile march will begin at 4343 Leimert Blvd (in front of KAOS network) and culminate in front of the office of City Council District 8 at 5462 Crenshaw Blvd.Related posts
