This year BSLA is thrilled to partner with Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) to provide financial assistance to high school students entering college. This donation was provided through the FFRF’s Catherine Fahringer Memorial Student Scholarship Fund and will be available to youth non-believers of color.
The FFRF is a nonprofit organization that “works as an umbrella for those who are free from religion and are committed to the cherished principle of separation of state and church.” The FFRF sponsors publications and competitions and conducts outreach and education on secularism worldwide. Last year, FFRF funded a First in the Family Humanist scholarship for South Los Angeles college freshman Kelvin Manjarrez.
BSLA is truly thankful for this donation and look forward to collaborating with FFRF in the future.
